Between May 14th-20th, that week that started cold and ended balmy, many tonnes of sculpture in stone arrived at Asthall Manor and was eased into place by gantries, tripods, trolleys, sack trucks, hi-ab lorries, pick-up trucks, tele handlers, wheelbarrows, spades, and a generous collaboration of sculptors’ and curators’ minds and muscles.
